OZ losing Monaro production to U.S.

In a move that some predicted, when the new '07 GTO, Chevy coupe and Australian Monaro (on which the current GTO is based) go on sale, they will all be built in one plant within the United States. All three vehicles will be based on the new Zeta RWD architecture that was spearheaded by the engineering group in Australia. Many Australians are miffed, and I don't really blame them. The new Monaro was Holden's halo coupe and is as Australian as the Corvette is American.
