Chrysler bringing 6-speed manuals to 2005 models

For some reason Popular Mechanics is repeatedly saying "you heard it here first" in regards to the story they're running on how the Chrysler brand is making a 6-speed manual standard on many 2005 vehicles. Someone at Chrysler must be scouring message board or blogs to find out what turns on auto enthusiasts and then bringing it to everyday cars. Jeeps and Dodge truck models will come with the 6-speed transmission if they're normally equipped with manual transmissions. The Jeep Liberty for example will get a transmission similar to the one in the Chrysler Crossfire, Chrysler's first 6-speed. There will be different 6-speeds for Dodge Ram and Dodge Dakota trucks.
