Second Saabaru coming down the pipe

The Car Connection is reporting that Saab and Subaru will work together on another combo vehicle, this time a so-called "crossover," following the development and recent release of the Saab 9-2x, which itself is based on the Impreza WRX. Again, the new crossover will be a Subaru at heart, with Sub's AWD system and built at their plant in Indiana. GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz stressed that both the Saab and Subaru vehicles will "deliver their own distinct interpretations of a sporty and versatile crossover product." What did you expect him to say, that GM's going to take a Subaru, slap some Saab badges on there and call it a day? The Subaru vehicle on which the Saabaru crossover may be based is presented in an artist's conceptual interpretation above.
