New Honda MPV in the house

The FR-V compact people carrier will be launched this November in the UK, with six seats arranged in two rows of three, just like the hideous Fiat Multipla. The rear and front middle seats fold flat to accommodate more than just families, and do so with one-handed operation, so you can commandeer little Terrence's collar while making room for the beer cooler. Only gasoline engines will be available at first, in 1.7 and 2.0 liter varieties, but a diesel will spring into action next year. Honda also promises extremely high levels of equipment and cabin quality, taking "the concept of the compact MPV on to another level of sophistication and desirability." The question remains: does anyone actually find MPVs sophisticated and/or desirable in the first place?
