It's off, it's on again - will the Blue Devil make an appearance at NAIAS?

Dave Hill had recommended against holding one's breath while waiting for the Blue Devil supercharged Corvette supercar to appear, lending many to think the project has been shelved. However, there's now a rumor that we might see such a concept at January's North American International Auto Show in Detroit, with a 650 HP production version to follow for MY2008. That aligns well with other rumors of a supercharged 6.2 L GenIV V8 on its way in the same timeframe, although such an engine might also be destined for use in a sport truck or SUV. I guess we'll know more in three months. Certainly, a Blue Devil on display alongside a Camaro would do much to warm the hearts of GM fans.
Those of you unable to wait that long can simply sign yourselves up for Lingenfelter's twin-turbo package for the 2006 Z06. The $45K package will provide 800 HP for its lucky owner.
