Audi has posted an 'interactive' video on YouTube promoting its new A6 sedan. "Closed Course" is nearly two minutes of video game animation showing an A6 hot-shoeing it around an autocross course with a picture-in-picture view of the driver.
The current state of the automotive industry is all about blurring lines. Cars and trucks used to be on opposite sides of the market until crossovers blurred the line. Coupes and convertibles have come closer together with the proliferation of the retractable hard-top. Even the line between manual and automatic transmissions has been blurred by the advent of CVTs, DCTs and sequential gearboxes of every sort. And the same could be said for advertising.
The details surrounding the Audi RS6 are out, but that doesn't mean that testing has ended. Johnny Green, a director with UK's Knucklehead Films, has made this 90-second commercial for the Audi A6. The result is something truly out of this world, showing a mysterious object falling from the sky over the American mid-west and plunging into the deep blue ocean.
