Watching the Super Bowl for the commercials? So are we

If you were to draw a Venn diagram comprised of car lovers and people who love to watch Super Bowl ads (and yeah, maybe even the game itself), you'd probably find there's a ton of overlap. The Super Bowl is where advertisers, who are forking out $4.5 million just for the airspace to host their commercials, really pull out all the stops and show off their best advertising talent.

Actually, we're learning that viewers like you enjoy car ads even if they aren't current. Here's an inside secret: In 2014, one of Autoblog's best-viewed posts was an old 2013 story on Kate Upton being in a Mercedes ad. Yeah, we were puzzled about that too. Yes, you read that right. A 2013 story was tops in traffic 12 months after it appeared. Apparently you all like Kate Upton. Or the CLA. Or something.

And so, we plan on letting them entertain us. Come Sunday, we're going to be tracking and posting all the Super Bowl ads on Autoblog over on this page with a little blurb about each one. We'd like you to come on over and vote up your favorite commercials, and vote down the ones you think are meh or even bad. On Monday morning, we'll tally up the results and name the Autoblog fan favorite. In the meantime, check out what Autoblog editors think are the best Super Bowl car ads of the last few years.
