Top Gear to air Argentina special in December

The Top Gear crew may have encountered more of an "episode" than they bargained for on their recent trip to Argentina. But before the team had to flee the country under the imminent threat of violence, they apparently got enough footage to put together a TV special, and that special will air in two parts after Christmas.

Announced recently on the Top Gear blog, the episode referred to as the Top Gear Patagonia Special will be another of the trio's trans-continental road trips, taking in "swamps, deserts, forests, beaches and ski slopes" behind the wheels of their chosen chariots: Jeremy in a Porsche 928, Richard in a Ford Mustang and James in a Lotus Esprit – vehicles that the producers have yet to recover from local customs officials.

The documented journey will air on Saturday, December 27, and Sunday, December 28, on BBC Two. While we wouldn't condone illegally pirating content, we're sure those fans outside the UK will find a way of watching the special, too...
