Ginetta racecar hit by flying door

Mike Simpson, you're a bad, bad man. The Ginetta factory driver was piloting his G55 GT3 around Brands Hatch in the Avon Tyres British GT race when a freaking door flew into his windshield at 140 miles per hour.

How does Simpson handle the inconvenience of a shattered windshield along with the fact that he was just hit by a very large piece of carbon fiber and plastic while traveling at twice the speed of most freeways? By putting his visor down. Simpson then completed a pass of his now doorless competitor to take second place. Because racecar driver.

Simpson continued to cane his wounded racer around the track, trying to chase down the race leader, but the impact with the door crippled his car's radiator. He ended up retiring after a quick dive into the pits. The incident ended a promising run that saw the Ginetta climb from seventeenth to third in the first ten laps. Scroll below for the full video.
