The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a very capable truck right out of the box, but "capable" has never translated into "invincible." Just ask the owner of the machine in this video. In it, the driver gets frisky with an aggressive jump with plenty of speed on his hands. The result is enough air to make Vaughn Gittin Jr. blush. As always, it's not the launch that's painful, but the re-entry. Gravity eventually asserts its dominance over the $43,630 pickup in a big way, and when it comes crashing down, it does so with a vengeance.

The impact was hard enough to set off both the alarm and multiple airbags inside the cabin. It's unclear if anyone was injured in the stunt, but we certainly wouldn't be surprised to hear that was the case. You can check out the stunt in the video below, and remember, when in doubt, back out of the throttle. Be warned, there may be some explicit/NSFW language in the clip.

UPDATE: Second video added with an even better look at the jump added below.

      Lesson of the day: Can't land a jump on a flat surface - need a landing ramp and oh yeah, brains.

        Seriously! I plan to purchase a Raptor, but NOT go looking for trouble in it. Even so, who couldn't see that flying over that ramp wasn't going to end in a good landing at that speed. Retarded.

      Total loss right there. Between all the exterior damage and the unseen stuff that happened to the suspension and subframe, not much you can fix there. I doubt the insurance company will cover this either. Eventually, one of these videos will reach them.

      I would love to see what he told his insurance company ! "We waz on this here road full of pot holes and mud moguls.... all of sudden this possum jumped out of no where and we had to swerve or we'd hit dinner."

      Hi there Autoblog, the alarm is set off as a safety measure in an accident where the airbags have been deployed. It wasn't just the impact being a hard one to set it off. What a waste of a great truck.

      Would you qualify that as a launch problem or a design problem?

      One question- WHY? Now they have potentially some health issues and a 45k truck that no insurance company will likely pay for, especially since this video is now viral. The sprung airbags, body damage and likely severe under carriage damage are going to be expensive. Notice how the tailgate is sprung in the second video. Last words you ever hear a redneck say? "Hey ya'll watch this!!!"

      Wonder which fared worse, the Raptor, or the scrambled human in the Raptor.

        @Sir Duke
        I think the human in the raptor was scrambled long before this jump.
