We can think of a handful of automobiles that appear to be closer to golf carts than what we'd otherwise think of as "cars". Like the Smart ForTwo, for example. Or the Tata Nano. Rhys Millen's Hyundai Veloster rally car, on the other hand, is not the first vehicle that would come to mind for schlepping clubs around the fairway, but Rhys himself appears to think otherwise with this latest video just released by Hyundai.

In the clip after the jump, you'll see what happens when Millen gives new meaning to the notion of picking the right driver for the course. The added bonus of using competition machinery in place of the usual putter put-putters is that you just might get to the green before your ball does. And that could come in handy on the PGA Tour. Watch all the way through to the end for the blooper reel.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Hyundai wants to eat up the hole that Mitsubishi leaves when the next Evo flops.

Everyone complains the veloster looks fast but it's slow, well that's because the veloster is just like the mini cooper slow 0-60 in 10 sec. Now on the other hand we have the popular mini cooper S and it's fast and fun to drive because it's supercharged or turbo. This is where the veloster turbo will come in and save the day when it comes out this march.

Interesting theory, but not true, here in this Cooper, CR-Z, Veloster(fourth place) comparo, The regular Cooper did 0-60 in 8.1 seconds.

Except for the fact that it's AWD and not RWD...

I hope Dirt3 adds this car to their roster! The only place where I'll ever get close to driving it.

Yay! Another car from RMR that Hyundai will tout and show and explain how it affects their brand, and will never ever provide any real world affect on their brand and their parts and trim levels.

Supposedly RMR's Genesis V8 Concept was a contracted project that Hyundai asked RMR to do.
