Nissan Juke versus Amber the swimsuit model – Click above to watch video after the jump

Nissan is teaming up with Sports Illustrated to highlight a few specific models – one made of sheetmetal and eight lovely ladies crafted from genetically-gifted moms and dads. The funky 2011 Juke is going head-to-head against models vying for a spot in this year's infamous SI Swimsuit issue.

This new series of advertisments showcases the attributes of both the Juke and a bikini-clad model named Amber. Acceleration, agility, aerodynamics and curb appeal are tested with less than shocking results.

The four spots are available for you to view after the jump, and be sure to check out SI.com/ModelSearch when it goes live later this evening to vote for your favorite swimsuit hopeful.

Ok..you are either gay or blind.
neither. I love the bouncing boobs, what does this do for the car? The commercials make no sense, they could be doing an ad for absolutely anything and keep the dialogue...the only thing that this commercial motivates me want to buy is hand lotion.

This is a lose lose for Nissan.

I didnt even notice the car!

I am no fan but there are lots of Jukes running around here in the UK, it seems a popular choice with the Yummy Mummys doing the School Run.

If GM had made these ads, they would be nothing but criticism. But, being it's Japanese, it's okay.

I think the comment section of these articles has run its useful course. Every article that isn't about pricey exotics is followed by snarky, negative potshots and biased agendas. It's easier to scrawl "it's ugly or it's stupid" than it is to think. 90% are focused solely on looks.

Between the fanbois shooting down anything that isn't their brand and artificially building up anything that is; and the armchair QBs that are just too smart for the rest of the world - all we read is nonsense, day after day. Most of the haters couldn't design a decent car or write an ad to save their lives. The one "worst ad I've ever seen" is so moronic and over the top, the poster should be banned. I'm sick of the trash.

I think #1 and #4 are pretty funny. Compared to most ads on TV right now they're in the 90th percentile. Can we elevate our game a little, boys?

        Umad?

I believe the SI models elevated my game quite a bit.

And the Juke just made the ladies look prettier.

That model on the right in the first video must be a convertible - I thought I detected some "cowl shake"...

Is it me or do I get absolutely nothing from this commercials, other than the juke is ugly and the model shouldn't be running with heels and she is hot.
That's... pretty much all there is.

Nice high beams, chassis, and body work! Mmmm mmmm mmmm. As for the Juke...

I hate when they use cars to sell sex.

If it is anything that can make the Nissan Juke look somewhat good, it is HER!

Nissan Juke - finally a vehicle to satisfy the need for style and elegance that only Pontiac Aztek owners can appreciate.

Methinks these are better commercials for the SI Swimsuit issue than for the Juke.

What can you say - no add guy ever got fired for putting the product next to a pretty girl in swimwear.

Personally I am a little unsure about the stripper heals... but that is just me maybe.

The last one about air flow is the best of the lot and is actually pretty good I think.

        Or ad guy...
        Math matters, darn it.
