Volkswagen's "The Force" Super Bowl ad - Click above to watch video after the jump

Volkswagen was responsible for one of the more memorable Super Bowl ads Sunday night with its spot for the 2012 Passat thanks largely to the efforts of one tiny Darth Vader. As it turns out, the pint-sized Sith lord was played by none other than six-year-old Max Page. The actor got his start last year by playing Reed Hellstrom on The Young and the Restless soap opera, and according to Volkswagen, the junior thespian was nothing but professional during the Super Bowl ad shoot. Tim Ellis, Volkswagen of America vice president of marketing, said that the instant they began shooting, he knew the commercial was going to make waves.

Page is special for more than one reason. Despite a recurring role on daytime television and some excellent comedic timing, he also has a congenital heart condition that has required care at a Los Angeles Children's Hospital. Hit the jump to check out the spot one more time.

And he proves again how narrow minded he really is. He just labeled the billions of people around the world who saw this commercial and loved it, a pedofile.

This just goes to show that you shouldn't feed the trolls. It's for their own good so they don't make themselves look stupid in the end.

I've watched this about 20 times so far and I can't help but smile and snicker at the end when the car turns on and lil Darth jumps all starteled. This will be a classic ad.

Same, same and same...absolutely loved this ad. The kid is absolutely adorable. Major props to VW on this one.

This ad was so legit because I think a lot of people can relate to it. And I like Star Wars so that is another plus.

This was by far the best car commercial, let alone the best commercial, in my opinion. Simple genius on VW's part.

      Lame car
      Lame commercial

The spot shows that it has a remote key locking, wow innovative it is so late 1980's

Maybe the significance is that the electrics are actually working on a VW...at least for now.

Who is the manufacturer and what model are they selling ... hmm? This is Marketing 101 ... and it works every time.

The kid even looks like a young Luke Skywalker. Hope he doesn't end up in rehab in 10 years.

Considering he has a serious heart desease, I'm pretty sure he won't. I'm taking this as tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, just to let you know. So I didn't take it as seriously as you may think.

What a great ad. Both this and Audi's luxury prison bits were some of the best car ads I've seen.
