SR Auto Group Audi S5 Typhön – Click above for high-res image gallery

Canada's SR Autos' formula appears to be as follows: Drape cars in light-swallowing shades of black, add some performance to the package and then hang a military-operation codename on it.

This is the Audi S5 Typhön, a former beauty queen turned Black Ops mission leader. Underneath the Leios matte black wrap are a tuned ECM; Milltek downpipe and sport exhaust; Reiger carbon fiber aero mods front and back; H&R coilover suspension and ADV 5.1 wheels in 20 inches of complementary matte ebony. If Bruce Wayne ever decides to go with something a little more subtle, this'd fit the bill. Have a look at the high-res gallery of photos below.

These cars look good on the pictures, but i saw a few up close on the auto show and i have to say i'd never get a car with that paint work.

I love the new Audi lineup. These are some of the best cars they have designed in years.

I love how the matte black absorbs enough of the reflection that it really makes the beautiful body lines of the Audi 5's pop.

Audi's OEM parts are just fine, thanks. Saw a white A5 S-Line with black scissor-style wheels today, can't think of a better looking Audi.

      Except the RS5.

But that's a little gaudy isn't it? It's hard to compare though, since they're such different cars.

I'd feel too embarrassed stepping out of a carbon-ed out matte black R8 in public... that only seems acceptable if I lived in Dubai and my other cars included a gold plated, diamond studded Black Series SL65 AMG and 2 Veyrons with scissor doors. Yes I'd love to own one, I'd kill for it (if only to experience one of the world's premier V10 engines), but it's just not my first choice.

With the RS5 I feel like I could be going out on a ride in town, only getting extended looks from car nerds like myself. Yeah it's not as fast, not as intense, and not as cool as the R8, but it's sexier.

Between this and the graphics below, I guess it's rice-out weekend on AB.
        The Reventon is massive rice.

Ultra low-pro wheels don't improve performance. And adding carbon-fiber accents to your car is the very definition of rice.

Where do you see the performance is improved over stick? It doesn't say that, many ECM tunings produce no noticeable difference at all.
How is it riced out? The performance is improved over stock. The paint, 20" wheels, and carbon add-ons wouldn't make it rice.

If that were the case, then you'd be calling the Lamborghini Reventon rice because of its matte finish, along with the ZR-1 and its 20" wheels and carbon add-ons.

I'm pretty sure its flat black vinyl wrap... only a total moron would paint their car flat black.
SR autos tuning formula, Flat black and some aftermarket wheels. BIG deal!

        Millions?

Unless you count primer coated cars or paint oxidized by the sun, I think you're exaggerating.

Matte is a very high maintenance finish. As mentioned, most wouldn't paint their car matte black because of the hassle owning it entails.
You do realize it is possible to paint ANYTHING in a matte finish, right?
You implied that no one does this. Like it was some impossibility. Yet, there's millions of cars out there with a matte finish. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean everybody else does.

They should hire a new photographer.
You really can't tell much from the pictures
The angles and lighting are terrible for a car this color.

Hot car, but are the rear wheels and tires wider than the fronts? I wonder if they did that for performance, or if they're just following this fad among the VW/Audi community.

Now if they would just re-create the Audi rings like so: ÖÖÖÖ
