SEMA 2009: Honda Accord Crosstour straps on some factory accessories

2010 Honda Accord Crosstour factory accessories -- Click above for high-res image gallery
Honda's 2010 Accord Crosstour doesn't yet appear on the Japanese automaker's accessories site, but a few images of aftermarket bits have been shared with an Element owner's forum (viewable below), and we now have some live shots straight from the show floor at SEMA.
On top are a rack and window deflectors and down below is a set of skirting that completely encircles the car. The effect, especially from the side, imbues the car with the kind of chunky brawn we used to associate with Subaru, before Subaru decided to dip its design pen into the inkwell of elegance. From the stock shots, the mods might even help, but our man Lavrinc on the show floor who took these live shots seems to indicate otherwise. In any case, as our first drive reviewer asked, is it enough? Thanks for the tip, Jubby!

I do too.
The only angle that strikes me as a bit off is the rear, I think that the taillights are too high and the split window/spoiler is unnecessary. If they removed the split window and have the "trunk" frame come down to the bottom and re-align the taillights to that level as well as adjust the "line" on the side to meet the bottom of the "trunk" it could be a really handsome and sporty vehicle.
But still I think that many angles are pleasing on this car.

Actually, from this angle, as the poster pic for the post is taken.. It isn't THAT bad... but as soon as you take e spin in the gallery you just get your feet back on earth... yepp, it's ugly. Getting tired of saying it though.

I love autoblog but so many of the idiots on here are close minded fanatics to put it nicely that don't see the point of anything besides a Ferrari. Shut up and give the car a chance for god sakes before you burn it at the stake.

god's sake...... My bad.

I have to admit two things.
First, I like the front end fascia on this car, dare I say it somehow 'justifies' the current designs of the Accord/Euro etc. (but not justifying its execution) In regards to the proportions of the car I hope it grows on me.
Secondly, I am a sucker for factory accessories! I love a good roof rack with bike clips!
Is that just me?

Sorry, still ugly.

I believe the quote that applies here is:
"You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig."

Please make the ugly stop!

Bang!

Nope.. even with these ad on's it is still ugly. I feel sorry for any car lover who's significant other ensists on buying this and they are forced to drive it.

The only accessory the CrossTurd needs is a very large paper bag. One that covers the entire car. Make that two, in case the first one gets a tear.

I don't know whats worse, how ugly it is, or how its overpriced at $10k over a standard Accord.

Wow, Honda/Acura styling is god awful. They need to fire their designers quickly before folks have to witness these monstrosities on the road.

Just when the Crosstour started growing on me (Although still WTF ugly, sorry Honda, as much as I like your cars) they just had to accessorize it to make it even more ugly...
