VIDEO: Chris Pfeiffer takes his BMW freestylin' ways to company headquarters
Chris Pfeiffer does tricks atop the BMW Tower -- Click above to watch video
Freestyle rider Chris Pfeiffer took a BMW F 800 R to the top of the 22-story BMW Tower in Munich, then decided to play around with it. What that means is two minutes and ten seconds of gymnastic 2-wheeled goodness that would be impressive enough were it happening at ground level. Speaking of the ground, our favorite part might come on the first floor, before Pfeiffer gets in the elevator and rides by a BMW employee whose look says "I'll just pretend I didn't see that..." Follow the jump to see the vid.

that was pretty cool, nice to see BMW being playful and
working toward the younger people.
Also showing people that BMW has been making
great motorcycles for ages. I'm always surprised
when people don't know about the bikes or the distinction
between Beemer and Bimmer

Gotta agree with you there, while Bimmer and Beemer may be pronounced the same, it's a world of difference.
A great vid for sure... that's going up on Facebook.

I didn't know BMW made cars until I passed one on my bike ;)

Well color me impressed. Actually, at the end it looked as though he was considering a backflip off the edge for a base-jump grand finale.

My thoughts/hopes exactly. Base jump would've been the icing on the cake.

It WOULD be impressive, if it wasn't... CG?
0:53, the pan before 0:58, 1:07...

Hmm, are you sure about that? I'm not and in any event if those parts were CG what does that detract from? The actual tricks are clearly NOT CG.
Ethan Pease 11:57PM (9/13/2009)
True, the tricks are still real. But I think the production quality detracts from the stunts, which stand up as impressive even without all the fast camera work and effects. And if it was done (mostly) on a set, I'm disappointed in BMW. And that's coming from a BMW fanboy.
I didn't film the thing, but that sure looks like CGI to me.

Well it sure doesn't look like CGI to me:)
