Cause or effect? While driving home from Supercar Sunday at VCR, we spotted this burned out Hummer H2 limo on the side of the road near the heart of the wildfires in Southern California.

Was this behemoth the cause of, or alternatively, a victim of the fires? Perhaps neither. It may have just been a coincidence that the lengthy SUV lay smoldering on the shoulder near thousands of acres of brush near Mulholland Drive. Perhaps. But one thing's for sure – the party's over for this limo. Here's hoping that anyone that happened to be inside made it out safely.

That is the nicest looking stretch limo I have ever laid eyes on.

I would've expected the tires to go up in smoke as well.

      hurray!!!

Don't think this was caused by the wildfires.

A bit of work would get it back on the road. Lose the transmission tunnel and rear drive. Drop the suspension. Get a proper diesel engine in there. Fix the bodywork to be less ugly. Put some proper seats in it and voila: public transport.

I wonder how many people stuck with car leases they can't afford but don't want to ruin their credit will resort to parking near fire areas in the hope their vehicles find a sudden combustible demise.

What's up with all the Eco-freaks commenting on this blog?!
Riiight, eco-freaks. Because real car enthusiasts just *love* slow, automatic-only, shoddily-built, overweight pigs.

because everybody knows that super-stretch Hummer limos get dramatically worse mileage than normal super-stretch limos...
Yea, because a burnning Hummer limo is way better for the enviroment than if it was to be driven for 20-30 years. /Sarcasm

I don't think it has anything to do with being eco-friendly, at least not in my opinion. It's just a vulgar and disgusting vehicle.

That looks and smells like an electrical fire.
The conversion companies slap on an extra alternator and battery for the extras, but the wiring is dubious at best. We used to see the limos all the time for electrical issues.

How to tell this wasn't a victim of the wildfires? There are TREES everywhere.
