Exclusive footage of the Bugatti Veyron in Forza Motorsport 3 -- Click above to watch video

Forza Motorsport 3 developer Turn 10 Studios has decided to share some exclusive video footage with Autoblog (and our sister site Joystiq) that features one of our favorite cars: the Bugatti Veyron. When the game is released, you'll be able to take the wheel of the world's most expensive 'bug' without having to drop $1.6 million large. And of course, you'll get to customize it all you like. Take that, Sang Bleu...

Said Turn 10 head Dan Greenawalt, "Including the Veyron allows our fans and community to experience one of the world's rarest supercars at an unparalleled level of realism. Few people will ever get to see this car in person, let alone race or drive one, so the fact that we have it in Forza Motorsport 3 where it's fully drivable, tunable, paintable and even damageable is a very exciting concept to us. We hope our community shares that passion and enthusiasm!"

Damaging the Veyron in the game wouldn't be as bad as overcooking the real thing into the Armco, but we still recommend against it. However, having driven the thing twice, we can say that if you can get the actual Veyron to lay down rubber or drift through corners, then please give us a call – we have a trophy for you... Check out the video footage after the jump.

Oh, and ofcourse the game looks stunning. Just needs the R35 GT-R and then the Forza Motorsport 3 experience would be unbeaten!

all i have to say is:
      GT5 > FM3

@Pokey watch a couple of Obama's speeches, and that's sure to change. (haha...change)

      Dirt vs Forza vs Shft
      May the best win.

I actually find Forza more compelling than the GT series. You can never break out the back end of a car in GT, even if you've modded a 1000-hp GTR. In Forza, the dynamics of the power delivery seem better - if you have a big-power RWD musclecar and hammer the throttle half-way through a corner, you'll be sideways on the other side, the way it should be. It seems like everything in GT is understeer.

GT5 supposedly has Top Gear track. I'll buy it for that reason alone.
        Here I come-> 1.43 in a Liana

Plenty of people have both systems.

@akboss: Try turning on professional physics and turning off traction control completely as well as all the other driving aids. It should make rwd cars (and some awd ones like the GTR) more oversteer-happy. I don't know why, but GT4 and GT5:Prologue enables full driving aids and arcade physics by default, I guess to keep the casual gamers happy.

After playing the demo of Dirt 2, I won't be buying it. It's Grid on dirt, that's it. I'm not sure about Shift, NFS games usually suck ass, but Shift does look good. I'll probably rent it. GT5, Forza3 and GT PSP are definite purchases. Since I have both PS3 and 360, there is no reason at all to pass up both games.

Dirt vs Forza vs Shft vs GT5
GT5 has best chances of winning.
No, GT5 has the best chance of not hitting the stores until next year.
Bizarrely, it appears GT5 will make it in stores this year.

All the info leaked seems to say it at least.

Sony are complete fools to hold up the GT5 release announcement until Tokyo Game Show. Many people have already pre-ordered and committed to Forza 3, Sony is going to have a tough time selling to those people.

Game looks great, but I've seen it a million times already - what I really want is that guy's awesome Nurburgring shirt!
What website has the Red Nurburgring shirt that the Developer is wearing. I can't find it anywhere.

I like the GT5 but the tire sounds are just TERRIBLE! Theyve never bothered changing it. I would buy the Forza 3 though!
But Forza has no wind noise. At least GT5 sounds like you're going fast when you're going fast.

"The style of the Veyron is classic." Classic what?

serge....Arcade physics? wow....i guess lots of racing drivers who have actually driven on GT had no clue huh?

i've played forza2, and it was ok, didn't wow me. everything you touch the grass the car would go into a wild spin out, and it wasn't just me. alot of friends had the same issue. the damage was the same everytime, and sorry the physics wasn't amazing. i really hope they get it right with fm3. that might make me want an xbox, but till then, Gt5 will suffice whenever it comes out :P

and pokey, you are aware that gt5 pro has more than one ferrari in it right? guess what the full game will have smart ass
        • 5 Years Ago
Smart ass? I am a fan of the GT series, have been from the beginning. Yes, Prologue has a couple Ferraris, but it took them how long to finally get them in the game?

As for your critique of the Forza physics, you are off base. You're complaining because hitting grass in Forza makes you spin out at high speeds? Yeah, because flying through grass and sand traps at top speed with no consequences like has been the norm in the GT series is so realistic.

I also find it amusing that you complain about Forza's damage when GT has never had it at all, and judging from the videos I have seen, the damage in GT5 is going to be a joke. At least in Forza, hitting a wall or trying to take short cuts through grass or sand has consequences.

Forza has an all around better gaming experience, especially when you factor in Xbox Live. I also prefer Forza's more realistic (IMO) physics and damage.

From what I have seen so far, the only advantage GT5 will have over FM3 is it looks a little prettier, and has a slightly larger collection of cars, though if Polyphony is padding the car count with multiple versions of the same car like it has in the past, that point is moot. I will reserve my final judgement until I have bought and played them both.

Wow the graphics suck..... not any better if not worse then forza 2.... I love Forza 2 and have really high hopes for Forza 3.... they better not let me down...
I have the agree the graphics look bad. But this is only a web video, the real thing on an HDTV will look better.
