Click image for theme-tastic Opel gallery

With the arrival of the warm weather, the media folks at Opel have assembled a bunch of summer-themed PR shots featuring the marque through the decades. Fun to look at of you're interested in older cars (or old advertising art), the subject matter runs the gamut from the big Omnibus to the slinky Opel GT (and everything in-between). We've collected 'em in the gallery below for your perusal, and added a few of our faves after the jump, too.

Ah the good old days when it wasn't improper to show some skin.

Of course I was referring to the '70s Opel.

Funny, how you look at each of these photos, the look was kept getting more and more conservative the older the cars are.

I love Opel and its history, full of smaties designs, always actualizing its cars, not one or two models, but all the range.
Here in Brazil, Chevrolet always was a caricature of Opel, but even so far small than its germany mate, always offered fantastic cars that had marked time in each decade since 70's.
      Long life to Opel!

LGM, "Chevrolet always was a caricature of Opel" probably because Opel has been GM owned for a long time. Can't recall when that happened though...

        Prior to WWII.

I had no idea the fact went that far back...

Pretty little Opel GT! Mine was a screaming yellow '73. Never should have gotten rid of it (it along with my Harley), especially for a down payment for a house.
