Porsche issues recall for 911

Porsche moved to recall 18,627 units of its Porsche 911 model to an issue with the sports car’s exhaust, specifically the welding seem between the exhaust clip that secures the tail pipe and the pipe itself. The weld may break and lead to rattling noises or even the loss of the final section of the exhaust system.

Vehicles produced between April 20, 2004 and October 21, 2005 could possibly be affected by this issue and their owners are urged to take them to their dealers for the fix, which Porsche claims should only take about 25 minutes. So far only 30 customers have actually been affected by the exhaust issue.
