It's definitely worth the wait. The GT-R will go into production in 2007 and the sooner, the better. The striking
design touches hark back to previous GT-Rs. The round taillights are beautifully integrated with the rear end of the
car, and the designers gave the entire body a mean muscular look. We've heard that this GT-R Proto closely resembles
the production vehicle in execution. There are lots of photos after the jump.

the front grill is a copy from mitsubishi EVO X (10) concept
but i like the overall look
Chris @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
Wow, this looks awesome!
franke @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
That´s it, this is my new dream car. I think the styling is spot on, they did a great job on this one.
Devin Lussier @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
Very nice. Clean up some of the rough edges and bring it over here as an Infiniti G35R or maybe just an Infiniti R and they've got themselves a ~$55,000 Vette-killer.
BLKRDE @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
This car is HOT!!! I hope they dont price it thru the roof.
Tom W @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
Slap a G35 coupe front end on there and it would be perfect.
Jason E. Rist @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
This car is amazing. It will look beautiful next to my Titan. I'm going to go ahead and start saving now.
Pedro @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
so nice... lets hope it wont get those good looks ruined before it gets to production.
Dinger @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
The nose looks like a cross between an Audi and the next gen Mitsu Evo.
Matthew @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
Anybody who's a fan of the Skylines should be happy to see this car return. Anybody American that is a fan of the Skyline should be especially glad to see this car come to the states. Anybody who can't afford this car (me) should be crying right now.
Gandhi @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
I like it. A LOT! Nissan - bring it to the US as the Infiniti R, like Devin mentioned.
kid_supra @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
I really do have a charred coloured penis.
Bo @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
this thing looks mean as hell. and the design looks very aggressive. i can't wait until the tuners get their hands on this. its a beautiful car and can't wait for the specs.
Rocket Punch @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
I don't know who copied who. This looks too much like the Ferreri GG50, or is it just me?
Ryan Saghir @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
Wow. That's all I can say. wow.
Stone @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
Just beautiful. I was scared when I saw the earlier prototype designs, but this thing is freakin' gorgeous.
Alex @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
is it just me or does the whole black part where the GTR logo is in the front looks like the grill of the current 4Runner?
Jason @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
Very nicely designed - it has styling clues from the previous Skylines and they did an excellent job bringing it up to date.
I have one suggestion. I think instead of making the rear tail lights recessed they should extend them outward out of the body (like many Ferraris), or make them flush with the body.
Hardwareguy @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
That looks freaking beautiful. I wish the GT-R emblem on the front was just a bit tinier though.
Mark @ Dec 18th 2005 10:45PM
Hmm. Sorry to spoil the lovefest, but personally I think it's hideous. I've just never been a fan of Japanese car styling. That front end... just awful.
