Ireland looks set to join the rush to switch their vehicle registration taxes to a system based on CO2 emissions. Currently, Irish registration fees are based on engine size. Marking the start of the European Union's Green Week, Dublin Bus announced yesterday that they will be henceforth be using biodiesel in the company's Dublin Bus Tour buses.
