Testing the JL Wrangler's new Sky One-Touch Power Roof option
Transcript- So I'm in the new JL Jeep Wrangler, and so there is a new top option for this latest generation. You can still get the "Freedom Top," hard top with the removable roof panels. You can still get the fully retractable soft top, which has been greatly improved for this generation. But there is now a third option. That would be the Sky One Touch power roof.
Now the button's just up here on the roof header and just auto. Ta-da! It's really just a great big sunroof with a soft top on it. But here it goes all the way over the second row.
Now, so far I've driven this up to about 40 miles per hour, and not a lot of wind buffeting. If it's pretty windy, you get some, but, hey, it's a convertible at this point. That's to be expected. But I really like driving around with this. And it's about 48 degrees here in Portland today, and it's kind of the typical sunny then cloudy, and it's absolutely perfect for a day like this because you can just push that button, goes back. If it starts to rain or something, put it right back again.
This is a great option on the JL, and, frankly, this is the roof version I would choose.
