We have before us the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST, which is expected to release later this year with 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque, and a range of 400 miles. That’s a lot of time between stops at the charging station, and we’re going to get mighty thirsty in the meantime. Unfortunately, we can’t actually drive it yet, but we can check to see if its cupholders and door pockets will accommodate an oversized water bottle like a 32-ounce Nalgene. We also get to see the RST’s midgate, and admire the electric pickup’s unique design.

- Hello there. John [? Snyder ?] with Autoblog here, and in front of me is the Chevy Silverado EV. This is the RST. I've got some work trucks around me that are going to be the first ones that come out, but this is going to be the main passenger model that comes out first. And this is a pre-production model.

So things could change, but still, I need to ask the important questions. Is there a place for a great big water bottle, like my 32-ounce Nalgene? Let's check it out.

All right. Let's see here. Nice. Some nice storage spaces.

Got some cup holders there, some cup holders there. Don't quite look big enough. Not quite, almost. Like that almost wants to stay there. Same there. Same there.

I suppose-- no, it would fall over If you put it there. Nice, full-length door pocket there. You can put a lot of stuff in there, but nothing looks big enough for this guy. So that's not going to work.

Let's check out the back seat. It is folded down with the [? mid-gate ?] open, so you get to see what that looks like. Let's see how easy this is to put back up. Oh, it's heavy. Holy [? schnikes. ?] I guess it should be heavy. It's a part of the structure.

Oh, do not ride in that seat. Well, there's some-- ooh, those look a little bigger. Let's see. Aw, so close, not quite, and then again, full-length door pocket. Not going to cut the mustard, but still really cool.

Let's take a quick walk around of this thing, because it's a neat truck. The RST has the [? multipro ?] tailgate. So the work truck does not have that. I like the glossy, black cladding there, really nice looking.

And then up front, there's a frunk under there, but it's just a really nice-looking truck. Anyway, there it is, the Chevy Silverado RST. Not quite Nalgene-friendly, but pretty cool nonetheless. Thanks for watching.
