German tuned Porsche claims top speed record

German tuner 9ff says it has broken the seven-year-old world-record top speed for a road registered car. The modified 911 GT2 hit 241.1 mph beating Andy Wallace's 240.1 mph in a McLaren F1. The 911 has an ungodly 828 bhp at 7200 rpm and 649 lb ft of torque. 9ff plans to produce 20 of these suckers called the 9F-V400 for a measly 278,000 pounds. Or $524,244.58.

Thanks to Robert F. for the tip.
