Audi set to unleash new S6 and S8

Audi is set to pump up the volume in their line up with the upcoming S6 and S8 cars. The boys in Ingolstadt are keeping busy with new models coming out their ears on a seemingly daily basis. What's ripe about these two, not-yet-released performance sedans is the inclusion of a version of the V10 found in the Lamborghini Gallardo. The idea of a gnarly V10 producing about 450-hp in a deliciously appointed Audi tingles the spine a bit. As long as the appropriate 40/60 front-rear torque split is maintained, these two uber-sedans should have no problem competing with the machines from AMG or BMW M. The S8 will debut at Tokyo and the S6 is expected to show at Detroit. Since we like the sharp creases of the A8, a more powerful version of that stately car is welcome.
