RAM 2500 Owner Reviews (1)
I picked up a new 2015 Ram 2500 HD 6.4 Hemi 4x4 longbed on new years eve and had it back into the dealer two hundred miles later with a transmission issue. They said it was a faulty fluid pump which was replaced and they updated the software. The dealership fixed this in one day and had me on the road again the next morning but I am currently experiencing the same symptoms as before even without the check engine light on. The engine revs to over 2000 rpms before it begins to move. I notice this first thing in the morning as well as during the day after turning the truck off and then starting again and only from the initial start after starting the truck, not during stop and go driving in traffic. It's almost like you have to rev the motor prior to putting it in drive to get the transmission primed with fluid. Other than this one issue I like the truck so far but have yet to use the four wheel drive or tow anything with it. I am more than a little nervous about this issue because of all the negative reviews I have read online about dodge/Chrysler customer service being substandard at best. The dealership seems to be very interested in getting good survey marks, so I hope this is resolved sooner than later!

Traded 2009 Ford F-250 Powerstroke for 2015 Ram 2500 Cummins. Live in what is called The Hill Country in Texas. Ford mpg 12.2, my new Ram 17.9 with only 400 miles on it. Ford had a little bit better ride, but Ram tows a heck of a lot more. Ford had radio controls on steering wheel, Ram does not. I like the 10 way bucket seats a lot better than the Ford split bench with I think only 6 way. Over all, I really like the Ram, the MPG difference alone is really something.
