If you can afford to be selfish to get a 2 seater with little trunk space, this ride is a dream. The trunk is virtually useless except for a small duffle and your attache'. Gas mileage is around 15 mpg. There is a small button to the left of the steering column that allows you to turn off the limited slip differential so that the power is unleashed regardless of traction. Think Starsky & Hutch with control. The car is a pleasure and is understated enough that it doesn't scream mid-life crisis. I couldn't see not getting it with a 6 speed stick. I have always driven Japanese since they are generally maintenance free. I am not a car guy and don't care what the underside of my hood looks like. This is a mindless, low maintenance option that pure fun at a reasonable price. And service is manageable since its a Nissan. No regrets except for the 2 tickets I received in the first 2 weeks of ownership. If it won't cause a divorce, and you have another ride for bad weather or passengers/luggage, take the plunge. As I said, its selfish, but not as expensive or selfish as a mistress, and all the fun!

Great car. Comfortable after hours of driving. Fast and a bargain for the money. My first Nissan product, very surprised and happy with the purchase.
Having fun on 1,000 miles a week

I admit brand loyalty (3 Z's & 2 Max's since 1981). I might have bought a Maxima if they still made a stick, and my 2000 is still going strong after 310,000 miles (no typo). But, now that the kids are ********* back to a 2 seater, and this one is FUN! Every bit as enjoyable as my 1981 280, with all the performance plus some great comfort factors I really appreciate with all the driving I do. This car does NOT get boring. I'm driving it for my own pleasure, but I do get plenty of looks (from kids on sport bikes to doctors & pro hockey players I know). Note to my kid (who now drives the old Max), you definitely want to focus on your grades--get your degree with the GPA you promised, and this car is yours! It'll have 100k on it by then, but who cares? Wait, will I want to give it up in a couple of years? Sure, the roadster will be out by then...
The best sport car

After looking at this car in the net and at the dealership I just needed to have ******** the sexiest best looking sport car at the present. I have never on my life have so many strangers and fellow drivers ask about the car and praise it. And that is just based on the looks! If they could experience the quick acceleration (4.7 sec to 60) and how it glues to the road (.99 g's on the skidpad) they will know why I'm always smiling. Plus the luxury touches and all the tech gadgets available makes it the only choice if considering a sport car. Period!
