A disappointment and yet still fun to drive.

I hate to drill a hole in the proverbial boat I'm in, yet there are some issue which keep me from fully embracing the car. Everything which is bought has some foibles and the Giulia is no exception. The first thing are the lies the dealer gives about certain features. Case in point is the Automatic Stop-Start feature. It didn't exist last time I brought the car in. The display suggested a dealer visit, yet when I drove home it never worked ONCE for weeks, if not months... until a few days ago. Yesterday and today it worked flawlessly. Is it because ALFA send me an email 3 days ago. Did they send a software update just now?. Another-- yet major issue is that we firmly believe exhaust fumes are encroaching into the passenger compartment occasionally , especially on acceleration and cornering. I don't drive the car hard-- yet this odor has no business inside the car regardless of driving habits.. Of course only once did I have a witness who admitted the smell was present. But it's like saying to the service advisor that he is is wearing nice clothing on the job. It means nothing. They can not duplicate the odor and I fear they don't want to be bothered. I also fear for our health! A minor point they have no ALFA loaners anymore even if I wait several days. Our honeymoon is over. I spent close to $50,000 cash on this car and I have less than 10,000 miles on it. The Giulia was a left over from 2017. So you get the idea on how often I drive it.
