The all new and redesigned 2017 Ford F-350 is a revolutionary step forward in the full-size, heavy-duty pickup truck market. The F-350 has set itself apart from the competition by rethinking the entire segment and offering an all-aluminum body on all of its models to reduce the curb weight while maintaining both the expected payload and towing values. The all-aluminum body and pickup box reduces the curb weight by up to 350 lb. and this translates to better fuel efficiency with either the gas or diesel engines. The F-350 is offered as either a single rear-wheel (SRW) or a dual rear-wheel (DRW) truck. It is available with a 4x2 or a 4x4 drivetrain and has three different cab configurations (regular, super and crew). The SRW models include regular cabs with an 8-foot box, while the super and crew cabs are both offered with either a 6.75-foot box or an 8-foot box. The DRW models are all offered with the 8-foot box. For 2017, the F-350 has an expanded lineup of trims. In addition to the customary XL, XLT and Lariat trims, the F-350 now offers both the King Ranch on all crew cabs and the Platinum on the 4x4 crew cabs. Two engine choices include a standard 6.2-liter 385-hp Triton V8 with 430 lb.-ft. of torque or the optional and innovative 6.7-liter turbo 440-hp V8 Powerstroke diesel with an incredible 925 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to a TorqShift six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift and a Tow/Haul mode. The F-350 offers standard amenities such as traction control, a hill launch assist feature, six airbags including side curtains, air conditioning, manual tilt and telescoping steering wheel and trailer sway control. The XLT adds many features including power and heated exterior mirrors, 18-inch aluminum wheels (SRW only), locking under seat storage compartments, SiriusXM satellite radio, SYNC, cruise control, power door locks with a remote keyfob, a rear camera and power windows. The Lariat adds to the features found on the XLT with electronic shift on the fly for the 4x4's, LED spot lights on the exterior mirrors, an auto dimming interior rearview mirror, power leather front seats, automatic climate control, a premium Sony audio system, SYNC 3, power adjustable pedals, a leather steering wheel and a power rear window with defrost. The new for 2017 King Ranch further adds to the Lariat features by offering illuminated running boards, a two tone paint application, automatic high-beam control, heated and ventilated front seats with memory control for the driver, HD radio, a navigation system, Intelligent Access with a push button start, a power operated tilt and telescoping steering wheel and a remote start system. The new for 2017 Platinum trim also further adds to the Lariat trim by offering power running boards, adaptive speed-sensing steering, Quad LED head lamps and tail lamps, 20-inch aluminum wheels (SRW only), multi-contour massaging front seats, heated rear seats and Blind Spot Information System (BLIS). The F-350 towing capabilities are unmatched in the heavy-duty pickup truck segment. …
