This is Zack Bowman with Autoblog.com, and this is an Autoblog Shortcut. We are sitting in the interior of the 2011 BMW 740il. This particular car is equipped with a $1,200 camera package that provides both side view and rearview cameras for parking in tight spots, backing up, that sort of thing. And we're just going to give you a quick rundown of how that works.
Right now, you're looking at the main iDrive screen. And if you put the vehicle in reverse, you're given an overhead view or a composite overhead view of the vehicle. So we can start to back up, and we see our parking spot, and we go for it.

And you get your parking sensor. Now the cool part is is if you put the vehicle in drive again, the camera stays on for a little while until you get up to speed. All right. That about wraps it up.
