2019 Acura RDX A-Spec and Advance comparison
TranscriptJEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: Hello. This is Jeremy Korzeniewski from Autoblog, and we are looking at a pair of 2019 Acura RDX crossovers. The blue car on the left is an A spec. The red car on the right is the standard RDX. This one happens to be in the top-of-line advanced trim level.
So what makes them different? Well, take a look at the regular face of the RDX, and you'll see there's quite a bit of chrome. At each corner at the bottom, there's a chrome accent around a faux air intake. At the grill, you'll notice that there is a chrome surrounding a gloss black look.
Either way, you're going to get this massive Acura logo on the very front. Take a look at the A spec. You'll see it's got that same logo. But notice that it is blacked out instead of chrome. The lower trim pieces are in a gloss black finish. The grill surrounds glass black, and the grill itself is actually matte finish as opposed to the gloss and chrome in the grill of the other model.
Walking around, you'll see that there are A spec badges, of course, so that everyone knows that you chose the sportier looking model, unique 20-inch rims on the A spec. The sides have a black trim piece, top and bottom, whereas on the other RDX, both of those pieces are chrome. And you notice these are 19-inch wheels which come standard on all RDX models. 20s are optional. 20s are standard on the A spec.
