Scott Dixon wins pole position at Indy, gets robbed at Taco Bell

According to Fox 59 and ESPN, IndyCar racer Scott Dixon was the victim of an armed robbery at a Taco Bell near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This happened the day that Dixon took pole position during Indianapolis 500 qualifying.

Fox 59 reports that Dixon's wife and fellow former Indy winner Dario Franchitti were with him at the time of the robbery. ESPN reported that Dixon was getting food for his race team at the end of the day, around 10 p.m. Sunday at the restaurant about a mile from the Brickyard.

"While they were ordering with their windows down two guys approached at gun point," IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan told reporters Monday. "They held a gun at Dixon's head and asked him for his wallet and his phone. You don't expect that to happen, especially here."

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department posted to Twitter that it arrested two teenage suspects this morning in conjunction with the crime. ESPN says one teen is 15 and the other is 14, and both have been charged with robbery, and the 15-year-old was charged with resisting arrest.
