JAMES RISWICK: This is James Riswick for Autoblog. And I'm in the 2017 Infiniti Q60 and to show you the tech interface. It's a two-screen system. Top one here is pretty much for the navigation system, as well as just a general display. It is a touch screen.
However, it also has a multi-mode controller here. It feels nice. It's this knurled metal feel. You can use it to zoom in on the screen. You can also, using the Camera button here, select all the different camera modes for the surround camera system, make sure you don't damage those bumpers or the curb, the wheels.
And then you have this screen down here, which is a touch screen. It's kind of odd that it's a different screen type between the two. This one's a little glossier. It doesn't seem to be that susceptible to sunlight. But again, this isn't the sunniest day, as you can see in here.
Now, this area has a variety of apps you can put into it. This car doesn't have them loaded. But you can also-- there's your Infiniti drive mode selector.
And then for audio, it works pretty well. You have nice, big virtual buttons. You can go between a variety of different settings there. You do have your FM, your XM. This does have a CD player still and Bluetooth audio, iPod control.
And unlike an increasing number of cars, there are still physical buttons to go between things. There is a volume knob, which is always appreciated. So in total, fairly easy electronics interface to use and to figure.
