JAMES RISWICK: This is James Riswick for "Autoblog," and I'm at the Thermal Club near Palm Springs, California. And this is the BMW M760i X-drive. This is the range topping BMW. And I'm going to give you a walk around of some of the visual differences.

Now, it does have a different lower front fascia here. And one of the big differences with this car is the difference in trim. Now, this is sort of a bronzey gray finish that is in the place of the chrome that would otherwise be on this car. So you can see it on the kidney grilles. In the trim there on the lower part of the grille. It also carries into the wheels.

So these are exclusive to the M760i. You also have blue brake calipers for the bigger performance brakes. The-- well, I'm going to call it the hockey stick also has that grayish bronzey finish to it. You do have the necessary M-badge here on both fenders. And there's that trim.

Like the sport package you can get on the regular 7-series, the trim around the windows is blacked out. This is a special matte color. Sometimes it looks brown, sometimes it looks black-- kind of depends on the light. Of course, this is a V12. So like many V12 powered 7-series before it, it gets special V12 badges. Here are your mammoth rear breaks.

Around the back, you do have special exhaust ports. Again, there's that trim. There's your special badge for the M760i. Now actually, this car has a 6.6-liter V12. So it's one of those instances where actually the number should be higher than it is. There's your extra badge.

Now, in China, there's going to be an Excellence version of this car. Now, what that means is essentially mechanically, it's the identical car, but it has more of a luxury look to it. In fact, that's the car over here. So basically, it looks more like the regular 7-series. And there it is.

So you can kind of see where all the chrome is on this car, while that is the bronzey gray trim on the regular M760i. Now, we will not be able to get this car. It is exclusive to China, because they prefer the more luxurious look of the car. So there you have it. Those are the visual differences of the BMW 760i.
