Florida man attempts to break up a fight by driving into the fray

That dude has at least a three-star wanted level now.

Like something out of Grand Theft Auto, a fight erupted earlier this week outside of a Tampa, FL, bar and ended with one of the participants crashing his car into his opponent.

According to FOX13, a group of men started fighting outside of the Bad Monkey Bar in Tampa's historic Ybor City neighborhood in the early hours of November 15. At one point, one of the brawlers attempted to flee in a black Nissan, but misjudged a u-turn and crashed into the bar instead.

"He tries to do a u-turn, and it's really too tight of a street to do that. He gets hung up on the curb," Tampa PD spokesperson Steve Hegarty told FOX13.

Instead of escaping from the fight, the Nissan driver screwed up his u-turn, gunned it to get over the curb, and lost control. He caught one of the fighters with the front of the Nissan and pushed the unfortunate man through a plate glass window and back into the bar. With that done, the unidentified driver quickly left the scene. TPD detectives are now trying to figure out if the driver intentionally crashed into the brawl, or if it was an accident.

"That's a big question that we have right now. At the very least, it's a hit and run. There was damage to the building, clearly, someone was injured and he left the scene," said Hegarty.

Thankfully, only one man was seriously injured at the scene. Michael Silhol, the man hit by the Nissan, suffered a minor leg and head injury and was treated at a nearby hospital. The bar came out worse for wear, though, with damages caused by the crash estimated at around $15,000 dollars.
