If you've got yourself a Tesla Model S P100D with Ludicrous mode , enjoy that slow, leisurely jog to 60 miles per hour that you're able to experience now. The current 2.5-second 0-60 time is, you know, all right if you haven't had your coffee, but thanks to an over-the-air software update coming next month, the time will drop to just 2.4 seconds.
That's according to a Tweet from Tesla CEO Elon Musk today, and he also said that the 0-60 and quarter-miles times for the Model X P100D will improve by 0.1 seconds. The Model S P100D will have a 10.6-second quarter-mile time, down by that same 0.1 seconds. Tesla won't have to install any new motors or anything to get the better performance, either. "This is purely a software optimization," Musk said, and it applies to all P100D vehicles produced to date. The Model S P100D starts at $134,500; the Model X P100D at $135,500.

Looks like the Model S P100D Easter egg will allow it to do 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 sec and a 10.6 sec 1/4 mile via software update next month

Model X numbers should also improve by 0.1 sec on 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile
