It seems the world just wasn't big enough for two offbeat British automotive television shows. Just don't tell that to Extra Gear, the Top Gear spinoff show hosted by Rory Reid and Chris Harris... According to presenter and all-around likable guy Tiff Needell (via Twitter), there are currently no plans to film another season of Fifth Gear.
Here's the thing, though: We're about to once again have a choice between two television shows about cars. One is called Top Gear, the British name we all know and love, and the other is called The Grand Tour, hosted by former Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May... the British crew we all know and love. So, its seems the more things change, the more they stay the same.
In happier news, there's no reason to feel bad for Tiff. As you can see from his Twitter feed, Needell is still quite busy enjoying various automotive pursuits. We have a strong feeling we'll be seeing more from Tiff, Vicki Butler-Henderson, and the rest of the Fifth Gear team in short order.

So busy enjoying Mille Miglia forgot to point out @FifthGearTV on @ITV4 on Friday was last one ever recorded. And no news of any more ...
