TranscriptGREG MIGLIORE: Hey everybody. It's Greg Migliore for Autoblogger. In this "Short Cut," I'm going to show you the Revel speakers by Harman that are in the 2016 Lincoln MKX.
Now Lincoln wants you to buy the MKX because you can get these speakers. These are a big selling point that they're launching on some of their vehicles, and it's because they look and they sound pretty good. So I've been testing them out for a couple of days now, and at first glance I really like the design. They look good sitting in the door like that, integrated, kind of like a-- sort of like a metallic look against, you know, the wood and the leather setting. Looks pretty good.
So you can do some stuff to these speakers and customize the sound. So we headed over here to the infotainment system, and I'm gonna push the little sort of like a System button, if you will. And if you want to change how it sounds, you-- I'll turn up some music for you. You're listening to E Street Radio.
This is the button right here you select if you want to make it sound like you're onstage. If you want to make it sound like you're in the audience, you just push over there. Changes the settings a little bit. And then Off just gives you a traditional kind of stereo sound.
Now so I'll be honest with you. I think in normal use you don't notice a huge difference. But once you start driving and you play with the settings and you play off some of your favorite songs-- like I'm listening to a live E Street Radio concert from Tacoma, Washington from 2002-- I hear some different things in the way the instruments are being played, and it's actually worth it. It's really enjoyable and makes a good long drive sound just that much better.
