Autoblog's Greg Migliore takes a spin in the 2015 Ford Flex in this Daily Driver micro-review. Although this model has been around for a while, its unique styling still stands out from the crowd.

GREG MIGLIORE: Hey, everyone. Greg Migliore here for Autoblog. And in today's Daily Driver, I'm taking the Ford Flex for a spin. Now, this is a vehicle that a lot of you have probably been using as your daily driver for many years. It's one of the older products out there. Now under the hood is a 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6. That means the thing has a lot of power. We're talking 365 horses and 350 pound-feet of torque. You can definitely move in the Flex.

The Flex is a people hauler, you can get up to seven people into this thing, plus there's a lot of space for all of your stuff. The third row seats can fold down with a touch of a button. That's really convenient if you're into right now winter sports, if you need to put some skis or a sled back there. It's great for families, it's great for-- well it's great for families, this is not a car for single people.

This Flex is the Limited Edition. That means it has pretty much everything you can get. Inside you've got leather, you've got some fake wood. There's actually a refrigerator in the second row, it can freeze things if need be. It also has SYNC with MyFord Touch, which is going to be updated, but this is the old system. It works about as well as SYNC in MyFord Touch can work. I have no issues turning on the seat heaters, changing the radio station, but sometimes it does take a few extra stabs.

Perhaps the biggest element of the Flex is the design. The idea behind this is it's not your stereotypical minivan, it's something different. It's got these big slab sides with a big bold front grille. It's sort of the opposite when you think of European-inspired vehicles. This is All-American and this hearkens back to a different time. You stand out when you drive this thing. Now since we are driving the Limited model, that means there's LED and HID lights, there's tons of chrome, I've got the nice 19-inch painted aluminum wheels, this is a classy ride. The Flex is designed for comfort. The chassis really adapts to pretty much any sort of situation. There's not anything really sporty about this, it's designed to be almost like a rolling mattress.

So that's the Ford Flex. For Autoblog, I'm Greg Migliore.
