Motivated Russians Steal Cow With Nothing More Than Hatchback, Wits

From Russia, with cud

A security camera in what appears to be Russia caught the perfect crime while it was in progress. Cattle rustling in a small hatchback? It's just crazy enough to work!

This security video has garnered more than 60,000 views since it was posted to YouTube on August 29. In the video, you can see a small white car back up a driveway where a large black cow is hanging around, innocently minding its own business and maybe chewing on some cud. Anyone who has ever stolen a cow in a compact car can tell you it's a two-man job, and this theft is no exception. A man in the back seat leans out and begins to coax the animal toward the car while the driver waits.

Once the bovine's head is in the car, it's all over. The driver jumps out and pushes the cow from the back while his fellow cow-napper pulls it in. Once the cow is in the car, they take off with their pilfered heifer.

Russia is known for their wild videos, though most of them come from dashboard cameras, which protect Russians from rampant insurance fraud and crooked cops.
