To that end, the ELMOFO engineering group has put together its own radical Radical. Boasting over 310 kW (416 horsepower) and 600 Nm (443 pound-feet) of brutal twist, the car is already making positive impressions on the track Down Under where it's been testing. To get that kind of output, the team has collaborated with Oregon's AM Racing to produce liquid-cooled battery modules using Kokam cells, then funneling that power into its partner's Remy-based dual-stack electric motor – that's actually two motors housed in a single case – via dual Rinehart controllers.
The result is a car that looks as stunning with the rear cowling off as on. We're not sure if they've yet to turn the wick all the way up, but a recent video of it running at Sydney Motorsport Park shows it can easily hit 232 km/h (144 miles per hour) down the front straight. The footage also seems to show it easily passing by gas-powered radicals, though we understand that everyone was on cold tires and weren't actually playing for keepsies.
