Social media is allowing criminals to be stupid in new ways. Take, for instance, a woman in Norwich, England. Emma Way apparently side swiped a cyclist and then rushed home to let everybody know about it on Twitter.
"Definitely knocked a cyclist off earlier - I have right of way he doesn't even pay road tax." She finished her charming tweet with hashtag #bloodycyclists.
Norwich Police were naturally interested in the tweet, responding "we have had tweets ref an RTC with a bike. We suggest you report it at a police station ASAP if not done already & then dm us."
The victim, Tob Hockley, was taking part in a 100-mile ride and was 5 miles from the finish line when she collided with him.
"She came on to my side of the road. I took the wing mirror off and I went flying off my bike into a hedge." Hockley told BBC Norfolk.
"She hit me hard, really hard. I am lucky to be alive"
