Italian automaker Ferrari is finally setting the record straight on its famous prancing pony logo. The company recently released a video that chronicles the logo's evolution throughout history, beginning with a WWI flying ace that had the logo on his plane all the way through its inception as a hallmark of the Ferrari brand.
But, as Autoblog points out, the video neglects to mention how Ferrari and German automaker Porsche came to have such similar logos. Some say that the Italian fighter pilot actually lifted the logo from his home town of Stuttgart -- the same city where Porsche is based.
