Infiniti to unveil mid-engined RWD electric concept at 2012 Geneva Motor Show

Let's set the rumormill ablaze by noting that the gents over at Autocar claim Infiniti will unveil a mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive two-seat electric concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March. There's more, too. Autocar says Infiniti's concept will most likely pack a range-extending gasoline engine and that this sporty electric might even get some of its components from the Nissan Leaf Nismo RC. Autocar says Andy Palmer, Nissan's executive vice-president, is the source for this electrifying rumor.

The mid-engine two-seater is not related to the sketch presented above. We don't have any graphics of this car. What you see above is Infiniti's first teaser of its five-seat, zero-emissions vehicle that's tentatively scheduled to launch in 2014.
