Okay, okay, rumors of a coupe or wagon version of Lexus' CT 200h hybrid hatchback haven't surfaced yet, but before reports possible upcoming variations on the gas-electric hybrid surface, Lexus has jumped in and smoldered our lusty desires. Autocar reports that Toyota insiders, including a well-known exec, revealed that the company has no plans for additional variants of the CT 200h.

Toyota Motor Europe executive vice president, Didier Leroy, apparently justified the company's decision to stick with the hatch-only design by claiming that the CT 200h simply won't reach production numbers required for the company to consider additional body styles. However, the aforementioned report also suggests that company engineers are mulling over offering a hopped-up version of the CT 200h – and perhaps a plug-in variant as well. So, it seems like Lexus may stick with one body style, but we can handle it if they also equip it with several powertrains options to meet the needs of both the driving enthusiast and plug-in fans.
