Enerpulse claims pulse spark plugs increas fuel economy on hybrid vehicles

Up to three additional mpg for 2005 and 2007 Toyota Prius models. That's what Enerpulse claims its Pulstar plugs will do to the hybrid car's performance. How do they work? They incorporate a pulse circuit, which stores incoming electrical energy from the ignition system and releases the stored energy in a pulse of power. Instead of the 50 watts of peak power typical of other spark plugs, pulse plugs deliver up to 10 times more peak electric power which lights the fuel. What's even more interesting is that they claim these plugs deliver five percent more acceleration, too. Enerpulse has put its test results online here.
