Following an explosion at a biodiesel plant in Defiance, Ohio yesterday afternoon, three people were injured and taken to a local hospital. The AP reports that the plant is run by at American AG Fuels and it is unknown at this time what caused the fire. A two-block area surrounding the plant was evacuated.
The plant produces around seven million gallons of biodiesel a year. No word on how long the plant might be shut down (if it even is) and there is currently no announcement on the American AG website about the fire.
