Switching to hybrids will save NY's Laro Service Systems $12,000 a month

All right, most drivers or families who switch to a hybrid car won't save thousands of dollars a month in fuel costs. But, if you're a collection of companies with annual sales of $65 million and move your entire fleet to hybrids, then look out. For Laro Service Systems of New York, moving the entire fleet "from gas-guzzling luxury cars and SUVs to Toyota Prius gas-electric hybrids" will "eventually" reduce fuel costs by about $12,000 a month. This is an unusual case, and there's a reason Toyota is sending out a notice about it, but it does put into stark relief once again how greener living and corporate cost cutting can go together.
