C-class tunage: Kicherer K35 CS

For some people in the market for a hairy-chested C-Class, the AMG-fettled C63 and any Brabus option will be too obvious. For them it's Kircherer to the rescue, with its new C-Class sledgehammer, the K35 CS.

Kircherer has upped the antes on both the gasoline and diesel engines. The C350 gets bumped up 34 hp to 306, with 280 lb-ft of twist, while the C320 CDI jumps up 46 hp to 270 hp, with 443 lb-ft of churning power. That means you can get your diesel C from 0-60 in 6.9 seconds while getting respectable if not stellar gas mileage.

Outside, the cosmetic changes certainly do their part to give the new C an attitude worthy of Hitman, starting with the lightweight, handmade, 19-inch RS-1 wheels, with the ride saved from low-profile oblivion by thicker stabilizer bars and height-adjustable dampers. In the rear, a new diffuser shrouds quad-pipes emerging from the stainless steel sport exhaust. Inside, the mods continue with alcantara leather, piano lacquer, a carbon fiber steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and stainless steel door sills. See more pics after the jump.
